Weekends                       

There are separate three-day weekend experiences (Weekends) for men and for women.  Each year, a pair of weekends is conducted in the Spring, and another pair in the Fall.  All are held at Camp Dogwood in Sherrills Ford, NC at the north end of Lake Norman.  This facility belongs to the North Carolina Lions Club.

Weekends begin on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. and conclude on Sunday evening around 6:00 p.m.  Those attending for the first time (Candidates) are sponsored on the weekend by someone who has already attended (Pescadore).  The sponsor brings the candidate to the weekend on Thursday, and brings him/her home on Sunday.

Lodging and meals are provided throughout the weekend by the facility.  Emergency contacts are provided to the candidates and their families.

Weekends are open to any adult (21 years old and older) who is seeking a deeper personal walk with Jesus Christ.  People with special needs requiring special physical, spiritual or emotional support cannot be accommodated on the weekend by the volunteer staff. 

A donation will be requested at the conclusion of the weekend to help defray the costs of the weekend.  Though lay-led, there are two ordained clergy on each team to attend to the spiritual needs that might arise.  See the Calendar for dates of upcoming weekends.
