Directions to Churches for MCTD Events 

All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Concord, NC:

Exit 60 off I-85.  Turn right on Earnhardt Road if traveling north from Charlotte or left if traveling south from Salisbury.  Proceed for around 1.5 miles (pass Food Lion on your right and Texas Steakhouse on your left) to a traffic light.  Stay in the center lane and proceed through the intersection.  The church driveway is immediately on your right past the intersection.

Camp Dogwood, Sherrills Ford, NC:  (Weekend Location)

Take I-77 North to exit 36 (Mooresville/Highway 150); turn left (west) onto highway 150 for 7.2 miles to the light at Terrell Crossroads.  Turn right (north) onto Sherrills Ford Road and go 3.8 miles.  Turn left at Camp Dogwood sign onto Mt. Pleasant Road (highway 1849) and go 2 miles.  Camp Dogwood entrance is on the right.

Carpenter’s Grove Baptist, Lawndale, NC (Sequela on May 19, 2007):

I-85 to Exit 17 (U.S. 321 toward Dallas / Lincolnton).  Take ramp toward Lincolnton.  Turn slight right onto NC 150 / NC 27.  Continue to follow NC 27 for 1.6 miles.  Turn right onto East Court Square / NC 27 West.  Turn left onto West Court Square.  Turn right onto West Main Street / NC-27 and proceed for 16.1 miles.  Turn left onto Casar Road / NC-10 and travel 1.5 miles.  Turn slight left onto Curt Ledford Road for 0.8 miles.  Turn left onto Carpenter’s Grove Church Road and church is 0.2 miles ahead.

Christ Presbyterian,  Charlotte, NC:

From Concord Area:  I-85 South to I-77 South (EXIT 38).  Get off at the Highway 74 West exit which will be Wilkinson Blvd (EXIT 9C). Just before you reach the 3rd red light (Remount Road), turn right beside the Credit Union on to Monument Street.  The Church is immediately on the right.
From Gastonia Area: I-85 North to Freedom Drive (EXIT 34), keep to the right, and turn at the first red light on to Ashley Road.  Follow Ashley Road until it runs into Wilkinson Blvd (Highway 74), and turn left.  Go to next red light, which will be Remount Road.  Turn left and then immediately right into the Credit Union parking lot.  Cross through the small parking lot to Monument Street, and the church is on the right.

Christ United Methodist, Salisbury, NC:

From I-85: Proceed on I-85 to Salisbury / Jake Alexander Boulevard Exit.  Turn left onto Jake Alexander Boulevard if traveling north on I-85 from Charlotte or right if traveling south on I-85 from Greensboro.  Proceed to fourth traffic signal (Food Lion grocery store is on left).  Turn left onto Highway 150 (Mooresville Road), heading west.  Drive about three miles and church is on the left side.

From Mooresville: Proceed towards Salisbury on Highway 150 East (Mooresville / Salisbury Road).  Once you have past St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on the left, Christ UMC is about 2.5 miles further on Highway 150 East.  Watch for Ron’s Texaco / convenience store on the right, and church will be ¼ mile past on the right side.

First Baptist Church, Mt. Holly:

Exit 27 off I-85 (NC-273).  Turn right onto NC-273/Beatty Drive if traveling south from Charlotte/Concord or left if traveling north from Gastonia.  Road changes to Main Street.  Pass McDonald’s on left side of road.  Bear left onto Main Street.  Church is on the left hand side of the road.  Park in back on the church or in back of the funeral home parking lot, across from the side of the church fellowship hall.

First United Methodist Church, Belmont, NC

Take I-85 South from Charlotte and take Exit 27 which is NC Highway 273 / Belmont exit.  Turn left on Highway 273 (Park Street) – go over the interstate and go 2 miles.  Turn left onto South Central Avenue (which is still Hwy 273) and go 6/10 of a mile.  The church will be ahead on your left.

First United Methodist,  Mt. Holly, NC: 

Exit 27 off I-85 (NC-273).  Turn right onto NC-273/Beatty Drive if traveling south from Charlotte/Concord or left if traveling north from Gastonia.  Road changes to Main Street.  Pass McDonald’s on left side of road.  Bear left onto Main Street.  Cross Highway 27 and church is a couple of hundred yards on your right.  Park in the far left-side lot and come in side door to fellowship hall.

Traveling North on I-77 from Charlotte: At Exit 25, turn right off the exit ramp (towards Kohl’s & Target Shopping Center) onto Highway 73 east / Sam Furr Road.  At the traffic light at the Target Shopping Center, turn left onto Highway 21 / Statesville Road.  You will pass Home Depot and church will be on the left.

Traveling South on I-77 from Mooresville: At Exit 25, turn left onto Highway 73 east / Sam Furr Road, cross over I-77, and follow above directions.

17301 Statesville Road, Cornelius, NC 28031

Lakeshore Presbyterian Church,  Denver, NC:

From North (Statesville, NC) or South (Charlotte, NC):
Take I-77 North to Exit 28 in Huntersville, NC.  Head west on Sam Furr Road. (also called NC-73).  Continue to follow NC-73 west for 8.4 miles.  You will pass the McGuire Nuclear Power Station and cross the Catawba River.  At the second stoplight after the Catawba River, turn right onto NC-16.  Head north 2.35 miles to the next stoplight.  At this stoplight, turn slight right onto NC-1439 / Unity Church Road.  Go 0.18 miles.  Turn right onto Graham Road, and go 0.75 miles.  Turn left onto Hope Drive, and go 0.12 miles.  The church is on the right.  There is an upper and lower parking lot.  Use either one.  We will be meeting in the large Brick building at the lower parking lot.

Mulberry Presbyterian, Charlotte, NC: 

Exit 33 off I-85 (Billy Graham Parkway).  Turn right onto Billy Graham Parkway if traveling south from Concord or left if traveling north from Gastonia.  Proceed to the end of Billy Graham Parkway, which dead ends into Tuckaseegee Road.  Church is directly across the street (5600 Tuckaseegee Road).

Rehobeth United Methodist, Terrell, NC:

From I-77 North, take exit 36 (Mooresville/Highway 150); turn left (west) onto highway 150 for 7.2 miles to the light at Terrell Crossroads.  Turn left and church is ¼ mile on your right.

From Highway 16 at Denver, turn right on Highway 150 towards Mooresville for 5 miles.  Take right at Terrell Crossroads, and church is ¼ mile on your right.
