A Special MCTD Appeal
In the twenty year history of Mid Carolinas Tres Dias, we have been blessed to have received special offerings beyond the weekend donations to use for expenses of the Secretariat, including Weekend materials. Also, we have had funds to offer financial aid to candidates who have a real need and can only afford part of the contribution. Financial Aid is only for candidates, not team members. We also cover the cost of the weekends for Spiritual Directors and pastor candidates who are actively serving in a church.
We haven't asked for funds because the needs have been met by members of the Secretariat. The General Fund is running lower than it has been for a while, and the Financial Aid Fund is lessening with each weekend as requests are made.
Therefore, the Secretariat requests that members of the community consider donating special offerings to either of these two funds to strengthen them. Perhaps, if you are not serving on a team but could afford the weekend expense if asked, you might consider donating the cost of a weekend as a scholarship for someone else. Or make a contribution to cover the ongoing expenses paid through the general fund. For some Pescadores, a monthly pledge might be an easy way to contribute.
Donations are tax-deductible, and should be made to "Mid Carolinas Tres Dias" or "MCTD". The Financial Secretary will send you a receipt recognizing your contribution. In the comment section of the check, specify if it is for "General Fund" or "Financial Aid Fund."
